On The Straight And Narrow

So if you've seen my previous post (see it here) you'll know that I recently got quite a sweet delivery from Bumble & Bumble. This BB Blow Dry Straight serum cost £11 with free delivery for the smallest available tube and I said I'd do a review of it once I'd tried it out so that's what I'm doing now.
My hair used to dry straight and smooth once upon a time, but these days it is a voluminous mane of frizz and curls, even if I blow dry it straight away. So when I stumbled across this potential remedy, I thought there was no harm in trying it. After I towel-dried my hair, I applied a small amount of Percy and Reed Wonderbalm (which I got for free with an issue of Elle). This basically works as an all-round prep for hair, making it smoother, softer, giving it better hold and heat protection. I have definitely noticed a difference since I've started using this. Then I sprayed a small amount of Bumble & Bumble's Thickening Hairspray over just as another prep (I thought I'd give it a try since I got a sample of it). Now the main attraction: Bumble & Bumble's Straight Blow Dry. I used a 10p sized blob and just smoothed it all through my damp hair and brushed it through. Before I even started to dry my hair I noticed two things: 1) the serum was a very soft, smooth consistency and 2) it smelled fab! I brushed my hair as I dried it just to make sure that it did dry straight and it made me so so happy to see the difference it made! Ok, my hair isn't poker straight but considering I haven't straightened it at all it's a massive improvement for me. My hair still has a slight wave to it but that may be down to the fact that I am not the best at using a hairdryer (shameful). Regardless of the stubborn kink left in my hair, I am super impressed with this product because it has definitely left my hair a lot calmer and loess wild, straighter and smoother.  It's also made me discover that I am definitely the sort of person who needs to start using product in their hair to stop the curls from taking over, and for that task I would definitely invest in another tube of this. For £11 I think it's very reasonably priced because you don't need much of it to make a noticeable difference, and I have quite thick hair so for those of you with finer or shorter hair you might need even less. We'll see if the product stands the test of time, but for the moment I am definitely planning on adding this to future shopping lists. Does anyone else have any hair products they swear by? What does everyone think of Bumble & Bumble as a brand?
